The latest outbreak of Mpox, earlier known as monkeypox, has put the world’s health community on high alert in recent months. Mpox is now recognized as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern by the World Health Organization (WHO), India has successfully kept the spread of this highly contagious strain under control so far. The Indian government is proactively working to prepare itself for any potential future outbreaks, despite the absence of reported infections at this time. Is Seven Hills Hospital equipped to handle Mpox cases?
MUMBAI
A ward of fourteen beds has been set apart at Seven Hills Hospital in Maharashtra’s Mumbai as a contingency to Monkeypox infection. At present, there is no Mpox case totally in Mumbai metropolitan region but the BMC had taken preventive measures when the central Government ordered it.

In India we have not seen actual but can presume that can be there, the symptoms are rash, fever, cough, sore throat A Monkeypox patient can also be a carrier, which means that he or she can be infected and shed the virus without experiencing the symptoms.”
Any suspected case of Mpox can be treated here. We also have an ICU for Monkeypox. If we get a Monkeypox suspect, for whom complications arise then they will be admitted in ICU. At the moment India has not witnessed said disease but it is believed that.
